Single-use vs reusable

Infection-control economics without a forced answer

Single-use paths reduce reprocessing labor and cross-contamination variables but increase packaging waste and recurring spend. Reusable paths require validated cleaning (steam / EO / vapor H₂O₂), tray-level UDI traceability, damage inspection, and SAL documentation — often preferred when ISO 11607 packaging and ANSI/AAMI ST91 workflows already exist. Draeger documentation states the validated route per SKU; it does not declare one path universally superior.
